Comedy Performance 12/15/2008

I had a great time performing at the Flynn Space.  Besides trying out some new material - Saints, Lifetime, Scentuele - it was fun to watch the other performers.  There’s always more to learn.   Thank you to everyone who came to support and laugh.  It was a fabulous crowd and night.

Stand-up at Flynn Space 12/01/2008

I am excited to announce that I will be part of the stand up comedy series called Stand Up, Sit Down, and Laugh on Tuesday, December 9th at 7:30 at the Flynn Space.   This is the Flynn’s 15th installment of this smash comedy series.  I will be performing with amazing series veterans and regional favorites including MaryAnne Gatos, Oliver Barkley, and, my Stand Up teacher -  Josie Leavitt.

Pronouncing Glenn Closed. 10/30/2008

The premiere run of Pronouncing Glenn has come to a close.  Thank you to an extraordinary cast and crew who made this project a critical and financial success.   The script of Pronouncing Glenn will now benefit from some tune-ups courtesy of the three week run.  Stay tuned to see what happens to Glenn next!

Pronouncing Glenn Strike 10/12/2008

Today the set came down - well that was after everything was moved out - the furniture, accessories, artwork, dishes, personal items and more.  It was if Glenn herself moved out.  Good thing it was too hectic to stop and cry.  Ed Demler created such a beautiful set - gorgeous faux wood trim, stain glass window, full carpeted stairway (all the better to fall on), and a 12 ft deep thrust.  Kudos to our amazing cast and crew for working so hard.  I have never seen such an efficient strike, let alone, one with such a small group.  Last night we had the final performance filmed.  Lucky for us because we’ll be able to visit Glenn’s home anytime we want.  Goodbye.

Seven Days gives PG a wonderful review 10/02/2008

Thanks to Elisabeth Crean at Seven Days for coming to Stowe to review Pronouncing Glenn.  Her review, titled A STIFF DOSE, appears in the October 1st issue.  Visit www.7dvt.comfor more info.  Crean’s remarks include that show “succeeds wonderfully” with “believable characters that have us laughing with them and caring about them.”  She compliments the cast for tackling the material with gusto and for their engaging performances.  Crean also notes the running time of the play and suggests some trimming.  Plans are already in the works to address that issue.  Ed Demler’s “well designed set” was noticed, along with his expertise at lighting.  She closed her review noting that Pronouncing Glenn is a “remarkable achievement.”   We thank her again for her time and attention.  Seven Days is a blessing to all Vermont artists!

Opening Night! 09/25/2008

Opening night for Pronouncing Glenn’s premiere was last night - and it was amazing.  Full house including many friends and family on board to support the show’s birth.  Great reception - the crowd seemed to really enjoy the show - lots of laughter and even a few tears for the poignant moments.  My cast and crew did an amazing job.  Thanks to everyone who make Pronouncing Glenn happen!

STG Accepts our Proposal 09/20/2008

Stowe Theatre Guild accepted our proposal for THE FULL MONTY.  We have been accepted for the first slot of the 2009 Season.  Our show dates are 6/24/09-7/11/09.  I am looking forward to working with the entire team.

Pronouncing Glenn moves into the theatre! 08/28/2008

It’s here!  Pronouncing Glenn moves into the theatre this coming Sunday – August 31st!  Ed Demler, set designer extraordinaire will lead a team to first rebuild and raise the thrust.  Then the set construction begins.  Thanks to all who contributed their efforts.  Meanwhile we did our second publicity shoot which was brought to life by Costumer, Donna Collins.  She always has a way to reveal new aspects of a character.  The cast meets again in a week on set for less than three weeks of final rehearsal.  It’s been an amazing journey and I can barely imagine the weeks ahead.

Another Standup performance 08/05/2008

We’re on our own – Thom, fellow comedian and student from Josie Leavitt’s classes, arranged a gig at Nectar’s in downtown Burlington.

I did a slightly longer set with slightly less nerves.  Going in the right direction!

Come see me do standup! 07/22/2008

I’ll be on stage performing tonight in the second performance of Josie Leavitt’s class: 7pm at the Flynn Space.
